What you can expect as the Senior Regional Sales Associate:


This position is responsible for achieving product sales, and other related goals within an assigned territory for a division of Sammons Financial Group (SFG) member companies. Identify and build relationships with targeted Financial Advisors and Broker Dealer Partners to successfully market and drive product sales. Position product and company benefits and strengths through phone calls and face-to-face meetings.  

  1. Work within assigned territory to achieve assigned sales goals.
  2. Identify and build relationships with registered representatives through face-to-face meetings, regional industry events, phone calls, and other forms of communication in order to achieve sales goals.
  3. A minimum of 50% travel is required.
  4. Attend, and promote company and products at various Broker Dealer and industry conferences as necessary.
  5. Demonstrate strong ability to articulate the Company’s strategy by presenting a compelling story about company’s strength, culture, values, products, and services to drive sales growth and deepen relationships registered representatives and Broker Dealer partners.
  6. Assist with developing and implementing training programs for new products, point of sale work, services and programs offered by the company. 
  7. Collaborate with management in the implementation of outbound phone campaigns and other programs to be carried out from the home office. In conjunction with sales management, create, implement, and follow-through on sales and marketing campaigns within assigned territory. This includes ensuring that activity requirements and service standards are met at all times.
  8. Gather and maintain competitor information and assist management in developing product and sales tools to gain and maintain a competitive advantage.
  9. Support expense management by completing accurate travel expense reports on time, thoughtfully manage territory expenses, and identify and implement personal expense efficiencies.
  10. As stated within the Company Attendance and Punctuality policy, regular attendance is required and expected in order to meet the business service levels and workflow demands.
  11. Participate in other initiatives and/or projects as assigned.
  12. Maintain a positive image of the company.


What we expect in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years sales experience in the financial services industry (internal, external or combination)
  • State life insurance licenses required or ability to pass exam within 120 days of hire date
  • Series 6 and 63 desirable
  • Ability to work independently and to communicate clearly and concisely with effective written and oral skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships-internally and externally
  • Travel within region 50% of time
  • Excellent presentation skills,
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices
  • Proven ability to grow a territory as measured by sales, producer growth and persistency of business
  • Effective organizational, time management, sales and presentation skills
  • FINRA regulations may require fingerprinting for this position. Management reserves the right to determine and approve incumbent suitability for this position
  • Due to the financial nature and level of accountability of this position, a credit and criminal background check is required
