Here's what you can expect as the Sales Desk Specialist. 

You are responsible for supporting internal sales efforts by responding to inbound sales and service related calls and emails that come in to the sales desk. Work with internal wholesalers and managers as needed to promote and increase sales products and accounts. Support the administrative functions of the sales desk where needed, including but not limited to, coordinate efforts and communication with sales teams (internal/external wholesalers) in respective territories based on the requirements established.

  1. Respond to inbound calls and emails in a timely manner with the ability to prioritize requests based on need.
  2. Effectively assist financial advisers with problem resolution, illustration design, email/mail illustrations and order materials as needed.
  3. Establish relationships with the service center associates to assist the sales desk with problem resolution and case follow up.
  4. Navigate the organization to and available resources to provide problem resolution assistance to financial advisers across the country. Know when and to whom calls will be escalated to if caller is not satisfied. Follow proper procedure for issue escalation involving management and/or other departments.
  5. Execute consistent follow up with internal/external wholesalers to communicate financial adviser interaction, assistance provided and next steps to advance the sales process and deepen adviser relationships.
  6. Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge on industry trends, competitive intelligence and investment strategy methods.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of financial services sales experience preferred
  • Series 6 and 63 required or ability to pass exam within 120 days of hire date
  • State life insurance licenses required or ability to pass exam within 120 days of hire date
  • Solid presentation skills and public speaking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to allow for collaborative work effort
  • Knowledge of the retail retirement products
  • Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external resources, vendors as well as other departments
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Professional maturity to effectively interface with financial advisors
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and requests for assistance.
  • FINRA regulations require fingerprinting for this position. Management reserves the right to determine and approve incumbent suitability for this position.
