Here's what you can expect as the Director, Administration Projects.

 

This position is located in either Sioux Falls, SD or Des Moines, IA and will report directly to the VP of Administration. This position provides an excellent opportunity to directly impact SFG’s Policyholders, Distribution Partners and Employee’s Experience.

This person is responsible for leading and overseeing the Administration Projects team and the Administration strategic and non-strategic project portfolio. Lead, set strategic direction and coach/develop team members to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects in a multi-company/multi-site environment. Collaborate closely with all leaders in the Administration Division and other relevant departments to identify and scope critical strategic projects. Lead a team that serves as key driver of each project’s success, ensuring projects are prioritized effectively by the division, are defined specifically for all supporting areas and are executed as expected.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years relevant work experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in agile project methodology required
  • Strong background in life insurance operations and/or information technology
  • Proven ability to build effective internal and external relationships and effectively influence individuals at all levels (from executive to front-line)
  • Ability to develop detailed cost/benefit analyses (CBAs)
  • Effective presentation creation and delivery skills
  • Must embrace and effectively shadow the corporate core values
  • Effective leadership, management, decision-making and motivational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, oral and written
  • Proven ability to lead multi-facetted business needs and diverse processes
  • Must be flexible in coping with changing business environments
  • Track record of proven critical thinking and problem resolution skills
  • Must demonstrate the ability to act independently within the context of corporate goals
